It sounds like a pretty hefty add-on, so don’t expect it to come cheap. We still don’t know how much it’s going to cost, but it will add a new area (The Courtyard), the Flagellant, a new type of enemies, four new local bosses, a new wandering boss and much more. He’s going to be added to the game with the Crimson Court DLC, which is set to launch on June 19th. The developers have compared him to the Abomination, which only makes him more exciting, for us at least. Keeping him one foot in the grave all the time could pay off immensely. Flagellant is exclusively run in ranks 1 and 2. Everything else is basically a ribbon: self-marks are too unreliable to care about and buffing stress resist for Endure takes too many turns and skill slots. The most common use for this is to stop DoTs which you can do with Reclaim anyway. Otherwise his bleeding atacks are top notch VS enemies that can suffer from it. More crit and base damage doesnt need explanation. Suffer is Flagellants least useful skill. Rapturous affliction is also pretty beneficial since it also seems to trigger party wide heals ( excluding Flagellant himself ) when getting him on deaths door and dying, suffering crits etc. I got my flagellant with unyielding and locked that before getting the Martyrs seal. Finally, he get a lot of bonuses for being at death’s door, including 20% more damage done, 5 accuracy, 2 speed, and 20% resistance to bleed, stun, blight and debuff. Precise striker +3 chance for melee crit. As comfortable as one can get while playing this game, of course. For the flagellant, go to Darkest Dungeonss main folder>dlc>(dlc numbers)crimsoncourt>features>flagellant>heroes>flagellant, then paste my skins in there which are labeled flagellantE and flagellantF. There’s an interesting risk/reward dynamic to get comfortable with here. He can sacrifice his sanity to increase another’s, cause bleeding to himself in order to heal a teammate, take over others’ debuffs, drain life from enemies to heal himself, and more.
